This is the first post on the Shift blog. There isn’t much to say yet, and that’s the point.
Shift is a small Cincinnati software studio. We help 10–150 person businesses find where AI compounds in their operations and build the systems that take the hours back. We also build software end-to-end for funded founders shipping their first product. Fixed price, you own everything.
The blog will cover four shapes of writing:
- Engineering — how we build the systems we ship. The actual choices, not the marketing version.
- Field guide — short reads for operators on AI leverage, automation, and the work that’s eating your team’s hours.
- Case Study — deeper write-ups of real engagements once we have something honest to say about the outcome.
- Notes — short observations. Things that don’t need a 2,000-word post to be useful.
A commitment, since you’re already here: we won’t post if we don’t have something to say. We won’t post slop. If a topic shows up here, it’s because we worked on it, learned something from it, or have a real opinion worth defending.
